Necessity is often the mother of invention, or rather discovery.
When my own pets were having health challenges, I explored 
options and alternatives and found eye opening information that 
just made plain sense. That journey began for me over 13 years ago with
my Akita Mia and has continued with the rest of my fur family.

I have loved all animals my entire life. When I realized how we raise, feed and care for them has a direct bearing on their health, happiness and longevity, I became ever more determined to do my very best for my animals. This has led me to much research and my eyes being opened to how much good we can do to keep them in our lives longer. It became my endeavor to want to share this knowledge. My path led me to opening my own store, The Healthy Hound, so that we can focus on having fun and feeling good and living our best lives...together. As it should be.
